Natulenge Juu-Time to Rally Behind Kenya's Suffering Dear Comrades, Looking at what is unfolding in kenya reminds us of the many things wegainedat Starehe, but whicv\h we have now taken for granted. Yes, we need solutions that go beyond handouts-leadership, our politics, our development priorioties... But right now over 200,000 people need our immediate help-blankets, basic food, uniforms, shoes....those things the late Griffin ensured wereceived irrrespective of whether we got a sponsor or not. They were basic to life then, they still are today. Let us join OSS and make a contribution to the OSS Caravan of hope. The OSS fraternity intends to send a national and international mesage that when citizens are in tears, we first wipe away that tear, then seek to help them with the recovery-which will demand that we do more than just make donations. We must do something to bring what we have cherished so much as Alumni-equality, unity, onness, equity, unconditional love, respect for all, value for individual potential...we know it all. Please send in your donation to OSS Account Standard Charteted Bank, Harambee Avenue Branh, A/C No 0102095793100 You may also drop any of your material and inkind gifts at OSS offices at Starehe, or at Rikana Supermarket, Buruburu, Nairobi, or call Loise at the secretariat to arrange collection. We are also appealing to you to turn up for a Blood donation event on 17th February 2008 at Starehe Boys Centre. The closing day for donations is 17th Feb. A full statement of accounts and all items received will be published on this website by Tuesday 20th Feb. Let us change this nation. Let us wipe the tear. It was done for us... Let us do it to the 250,000 Kenyans today. Is that too much to ask? Paul Okumu For OSS Executive Committee For any details contact Loise-+254-722 98641 OSS ChAIR-+254 733 600 324
